Here are a few more images from today
change is all around as autumn
marches on in preparation for rest and recuperation

Today i visited the labyrinth and as usual took a few images
and thought i'd share them here

in and around the labyrinth

leaves in the gardens

an empty seat waiting to support someone
unfortunately not me
seeing as i had the car on the meter and had ran out of time

Visiting on Friday 25th Sept 2009

The labyrinth in George Square Gardens...  On Friday two young girls were dashing round it, crouching down to put things into, or take things out of, little drawstring bags then running light-footed on round the path.  A man paced around the outside edge, sometimes straying across the labyrinth itself, as he read from an A4 booklet and occasionally muttered, reciting words, phrases, mnemonics as he appeared to be preparing for an exam - at 4.30 on a Friday afternoon?!  Two men, possibly father and son, paused to read the information and trace the finger labyrinth.  And Gail and i walked at our own paces, sometimes apart, sometimes together.  In the centre my mobile phone rang and, checking to see who it was, i answered it to speak to an elderly friend.  Gail began to retrace her steps back out of the labyrinth and i set out a few minutes later.  It seemed quasi-disrespectful to be talking on the phone while walking...yet it also would have been "wrong" for me to ignore the call - my friend recently had a heart attack and she also has Parkinsons and lives alone.  I was grateful for the peace and for the nature that surrounded me as we chatted.

Blessings to all on the path!  What have you experienced while walking the labyrinth?
